Title of the Talk: Securing the Internet of Marine Things

Abstract: Securing the Internet of Marine Things” explores the critical challenges and solutions associated with ensuring the security of interconnected marine devices and systems. As the maritime industry embraces the Internet of Things (IoT) revolution, vessels and maritime infrastructure are becoming increasingly interconnected, highlighting the growing need to address cybersecurity concerns and safeguard against potential threats. The spreading of smart sensors, communication devices, and data analytics tools in the maritime sector collectively forms the Internet of Marine Things (IoMT). The interconnected nature of these devices introduces various security vulnerabilities including potential breaches, data manipulation and unauthorized access. This talk emphasizes the importance of a comprehensive security framework tailored to the unique challenges posed by the maritime environment.
