Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan YAMAN completed his undergraduate education in the Computer Engineering Department of Fırat University, Faculty of Engineering. He completed his master’s degree in Computer Engineering Software Department in 2014 and his doctorate in 2018. He worked as an assistant professor at Fırat University Elazığ Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School between 2020-2021. He started as an assistant professor at Fırat University, Faculty of Technology, Department of Forensic Computer Engineering in 2021 and received the title of Associate Professor in 2022. He continues his studies in the fields of Forensic Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing. He has more than 120 national/international articles and conference studies. He takes part in more than 40 projects and carries out many postgraduate thesis consultancy. He has experience in TÜBİTAK 1512 Techno-enterprise, TÜBİTAK 1505, ADEP, BAP and KOSGEB projects.
Abstract: In today’s digitalized world, Internet of Things (IoT) devices are widely used in many areas such as health, energy, transportation and industry; however, this prevalence also brings with it serious security vulnerabilities. Traditional security measures are often inadequate due to the limited processing power and energy resources of IoT systems. In this context, artificial intelligence-supported security solutions offer a proactive and scalable approach in processes such as anomaly detection, attack classification and threat prevention. This presentation will examine how machine learning and deep learning techniques are used for secure data transfer and threat analysis in IoT networks; and also discuss the integration of real-time decision support systems into the security infrastructure.
