Title of the Talk: AI for Generative Justice

Abstract: Most AI models are owned by large corporations and governments. Their algorithmic design, data training and behaviors reflect those institutional priorities. But alternatives are now emerging in which AI is created for community-based economies. Rather than environmental destruction, wealth inequality, and social domination, these localized computing initiatives empower platform cooperatives that return labor value to workers, regenerative farming that returns ecological value to the environment, and civic institutions that return social value to communities. Because these new forms of AI return value to its source of generation, we refer to that as AI for Generative Justice.
