Title of the Talk: Transparent and Trust-Focused AI: Transforming Healthcare System

Abstract: In the recent past, the implementation of artificial intelligence in healthcare decision-making systems has promised to improve patient care and operational efficiency while reducing costs. However, one of the major challenges of implementing black-box AI in healthcare practice is explaining the model’s decision-making process and building trust. Healthcare personnel and patients must adopt and accept AI recommendations as credible advice to be incorporated into their practice. This talk will provide an overview of the interpretable and trust-oriented AI approaches based on fairness and accountability. We will go deeper into methods like Explainable AI or XAI and how it is possible to use them for developing models that give accurate forecasts and explain why they made the decision. Through increased transparency and trust in healthcare’s AI-based decision systems, this talk will demonstrate how the decision science of AI can leverage healthcare to meet patient expectations and observe the highest ethical and clinical standards.
